Synopsis
Read case story
On May 10, 1973, the quiet town of Kenora, Ontario, was rocked by a violent bank robbery at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. A lone man armed with guns and carrying a bomb stormed the branch, demanding cash before leaving with an undercover officer posing as his driver. As police closed in, a sniper’s bullet struck, triggering an explosion that killed the robber and seriously injured the officer. Nearly fifty years later, the most unsettling detail remains—despite fingerprints, photos, and investigation, the robber’s true identity has never been uncovered.
