Amber Kirwan

A child disappearance; a parent's worst nightmare.

Amber Kirwan was a 19-year-old woman from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who disappeared on October 9, 2011, after leaving a pool hall to meet her boyfriend nearby. When she never arrived, a massive community search began. Nearly a month later, her body was discovered in a wooded area in Heathbell, and it was determined she had been abducted and murdered. Her death shocked the province and led to an outpouring of grief and calls for justice. In 2013, Christopher Falconer was convicted of her murder and sentenced to life in prison.
