Read synopsis
On September 22, 2015, in a brutal rampage across rural Renfrew County, Ontario, Basil Borutski methodically hunted and killed three women — Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk, and Nathalie Warmerdam — each on or near their own properties within the span of less than an hour. Prior to the attacks, Borutski had a documented history of violence and abuse against Kuzyk and Warmerdam, and had been stalking Culleton. The murders shocked local communities, prompting a public inquest into how the system had failed to protect the women and raising urgent questions about intimate partner violence in rural areas.
