Read synopsis
On the evening of July 3, 1979, Montreal teenagers Chantal Dupont and Maurice Marcil vanished after attending a concert. A week later, both bodies were discovered drowned at separate locations along the St. Lawrence River, launching one of Quebec’s most haunting mysteries. Investigators ultimately charged Normand Guérin and Gilles Pimparé with abducting, assaulting, and murdering the teens before disposing of their bodies. Their grisly acts and the questions that lingered about motive, confession reliability, and parole have haunted this case for decades, even as justice was meted out and the community continues to remember what those two young lives meant.
