Read synopsis
In the mid-1970s the quiet town of Strathroy, Ontario, was terrorized by a predator later dubbed “The Mad Slasher.” Between 1974 and 1976 Christian Herbert Harold Magee abducted, raped and murdered at least three young women while two others escaped his attack. Under a façade of normalcy he stalked victims in the shadows, exploiting weaknesses in local law-enforcement and forensic systems. His arrest marked the end of the rampage but also opened scrutiny into how the killings were investigated, how justice was carried out and how the community could heal from shock that one of their own could inflict such horror.
