Daleen Kay Bosse

No more stolen sisters.

Daleen Kay Bosse, a 26-year-old Cree woman, wife, mother, and university student, disappeared after a night out in Saskatoon. For years her family searched tirelessly, refusing to give up hope as the case grew cold. Four years later, police found her burned remains in a wooded area north of the city and charged Douglas Hales with her murder. Evidence revealed that Hales had lured her under false pretenses, killed her, and attempted to destroy the evidence. Daleen’s case became a painful symbol of the violence faced by Indigenous women in Canada and the enduring strength of families demanding justice and accountability.
