Synopsis
Read case story
Edward Arthur Wilson, better known as Brother XII, was a British-born mystic and cult leader who founded the Aquarian Foundation in British Columbia in the 1920s. Claiming to be the twelfth master in a spiritual lineage, he attracted followers with promises of esoteric wisdom and a coming new age. Over time, his leadership turned authoritarian, marked by allegations of financial exploitation, harsh discipline, and bizarre rituals. His reign ended abruptly when he fled with a large sum of his followers’ money, leaving behind a legacy of scandal and mystery.
