Read synopsis
In postwar Toronto, Edwin Alonzo Boyd became a notorious figure, leading a gang of charismatic criminals who carried out a string of daring bank robberies that captured national attention. Known for his movie-star looks and calm demeanor, Boyd often robbed banks in broad daylight, earning both fear and admiration from the public. His crew, later called the Boyd Gang, repeatedly escaped from the Don Jail, embarrassing law enforcement and thrilling the press. Their spree came to a violent end after several deadly confrontations with police, leading to arrests and executions for some members. Boyd himself served time, was paroled, and lived quietly until his death, leaving behind one of Canada’s most infamous criminal legacies.
