In July 1984, wealthy nursing home owner Helmut Buxbaum arranged the murder of his wife, Hanna, along Highway 402 near London, Ontario. Hanna was found shot to death in her car after what initially appeared to be a roadside robbery. Investigators soon uncovered a darker truth. Helmut, a multimillionaire with a growing addiction to cocaine and escorts, had hired a hitman to kill her in a plan driven by greed and control. His lavish lifestyle and double life shocked the community, turning a story of success into one of betrayal, obsession, and murder.
