Humboldt Broncos bus crash

Green shirt day & the Logan Boulet effect.

On April 6, 2018, tragedy struck near Armley, Saskatchewan, when a coach bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team collided with a semi-truck that failed to stop at a flashing stop sign. The wreck claimed the lives of 16 individuals—including 10 players, two coaches, a team therapist, a statistician, a radio announcer, and the bus driver—and left 13 others injured. The crash reverberated across Canada and beyond, prompting widespread mourning and a groundswell of support—tributes like “#PutYourSticksOut” emerged, and a record-breaking GoFundMe campaign raised over CAD $15 million for the affected families
