Read synopsis
On the night of July 30, 2008, passengers aboard Greyhound Bus 1170 traveling across the Canadian Prairies were thrust into horror when 40-year-old Vince Li, without warning, attacked 22-year-old Tim McLean as he slept. The assault was frenzied and unprovoked, leaving the witnesses frozen in disbelief as Li killed and mutilated his victim before police arrived. Later diagnosed with schizophrenia, Li was found not criminally responsible and committed to psychiatric care. His eventual release reignited national debate over mental health, public safety, and justice in Canada’s criminal system.
